Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Here is western NY we are used to unusual weather. We have four seasons, sometimes all in one week. That was the case recently. After the mildest winter I can remember we had several days in March in the 70s. Several! The plants have even blossomed weeks earlier than usual. April has been closer to normal conditions but still pretty nice.  Last week we were playing outside in shorts, mowing lawns, tending to flowers. Three days later we had a storm for two days and almost a foot of snow. And two days after that it was almost gone. Like the saying goes - "if you don't like the weather, wait five minutes." (Twain)

  1. Our weather's been crazy, but not that crazy. I love the way the little ones are looking at each other on the swings.

  3. Wow. You just reminded me of why I moved here. The weather extremes where I grew up were constantly making me ill!

  4. It is crazy! And it was warm enough for shorts too - than snow, than back to sunshine but not as warm. This isn't really unusual just extreme. It sure is confusing trying to figure out how to dress for it!

  6. And I thought our up-and-down weather had been crazy. No snow here, though (knock on wood). Great contrasting pictures!

  7. We could not believe that your end of the state got socked! This Spring has been so weird, thus far!

  8. Haha, that contrast is amazing! When I lived in San Francisco, the weather could change pretty quick, but usually not that dramatically!

  9. OMG! Such drastic changes in the weather. We've had days that went from sunny to rainy and stormy. But not such big changes.

Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.

  12. It seems like the weather has been odd everywhere this year, but that is an extreme contrast you've got there!

  14. We are used to the weird weather but I don't always like it! This week is suppose to be nice though, starting with a chilly weekend and finishing up in the 70s. We get a little bit of everything in just seven days. I vote for sunshine!
