Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Do you remember Golden Books?

Is there anyone out there who didn't read Golden Books at some point in their life? I loved them as a kid and I enjoyed reading them to my own kids so I found this so interesting.

Check out this Golden Books dress! I couldn't imagine how they did it but there are photos of the whole process. Read about how they used the different parts too. I'm not one to take books apart but this is very clever. Wow!

  3. I had many Golden Books as a child that were favorites. My oldest son had a comforter with Golden Book characters on it. I'm not sure I would wear that dress but it is very cool!

  4. That is quite the dress! I wish I had all my books from when I was a kid. My mother used to buy me a little golden book when we went to the grocery store and they were 10 cents. Thanks for the memories!

  7. Deep breaths. They all look like very new LGBs and not old ones. I love the use of gold spines for the bodice!
