Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday (started at The Printed Page and now a traveling meme) is at The Bluestocking Guide this month and is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week (checked out library books don’t count, eBooks & audio books do). Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.

Empty mailbox...again... I have to admit that's a little disappointing but I've intentionally cut back a bit. I'm trying to catch up on the books I already have. But we all know how that goes! There's just so much to read and not enough hours to do it. And I'm sure that my list is going to grow even more as soon as I visit your blogs and see what you got last week. Oh well, there are worse problems to have!

  1. I'm trying to cut back too. I haven't succeeded quite as well as you have, but it did feel good to have a quiet mailbox last week.

  2. I only got one book this past week and haven't even done a MM for a few weeks. Trying to cut back here too at least for the summer. The piles of books are starting to take on a life of their own. Even TBG, who normally never says anything about the plethora of books here, said one of the piles is just about to topple over.

Have a peaceful week and happy reading what's on hand.

  3. Having an empty mailbox gives you the chance to get so much more of your already stacked TBR pile read!
