Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Why Children's Books Matter

The New York Public Library is hosting a free multimedia retrospective  in the Stephen A. Shwarzman Building until 3/23/14. The exhibit is entitled The ABC of It: Why Children's Books Matter and it includes more than 250 books, art pieces, etc.

Today's Publisher's Weekly (8/29/13) features a great article Children's Books and Beyond: A New Exhibit Draws Unexpected Connections with more information and photos. I've never been to the NYPL but I would LOVE to go!

An art piece modeled after Milo's toy car in The Phantom Tollbooth.
