Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Saturday Snapshots

Saturday Snapshot is hosted by At Home with Books. To participate in this meme post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post in the Mister Linky. Photos can be old or new, and be of any subject as long as they are clean and appropriate for all eyes to see. How much detail you give in the caption is entirely up to you. Please don't post random photos that you find online.
I've been wanting to try this meme for so long but I keep forgetting about it. Finally this week I'm joining in! I love to take photos and play with my cameras whenever I can. It's fun to play with the images on the computer too.
When my grandson was four weeks old we went to visit my grandmother so she could meet her first great-great-grandchild. We took plenty of photos because we had five generations together. He is now three months old and she just celebrated her ninety-third birthday. I especially loved this picture of their hands - his are soft, tiny and new and hers are a bit wrinkled, swollen and aged. Both are so beautiful and so very precious.

  1. What a wonderful photo! It's not often one gets to be a great-great-grandparent.

  3. What a precious picture to remember a joyous time. I can't believe your grandmother is 93. My dad would be 92 if he was still alive, and I'm not old enough to be a grandmother! lol
