So many family changes lately! Good changes - graduations, new apartments, new jobs - but it's still making me sentimental. My last boy moved out yesterday so my nest is empty. For now. They've moved in and out a few times and it's been fine with us. (I did it twice to my mom!) Two sons live in town and have added to our family. One son lives two hours away and comes home most weekends. I'm so proud of all of them and I'm a very lucky mom. Please indulge me as I reminisce.

We didn't get to Kmart photo studio before closing time so I made them pose in the back yard |

Tried to pose for Christmas card photo but dogs wouldn't cooperate and boys wouldn't smile. Epic fail! |
Traditional first day of school photo. They were pissed but I wouldn't let them leave until they did it! |
Oldest boy's first day of college. I cried when when each boy got a turn |

I can see why you're sentimental. What a great looking crew!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I think so too. :)
DeleteLoved this post -- very nice proud Mom:)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was feeling sappy but I am a proud mom!
DeleteWhat a lovely family! You are blessed!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I count my blessings every day. :)
DeleteWhat wonderful reminiscences! I particularly like the muddy photo- such a great boy photo, and the one where they all look seriously annoyed at having their first day photo taken- we have the same argument at my house- but I just have one boy- it's worth it though to have those photo memories- even if they do look grumpy at the time.
ReplyDeleteWe have many typical boy photos over the years and I treasure them all! It was hard to decide what to post and I know there are too many but it was still fun. Luckily none of my sons read this or they would kill me for sharing so much. Too bad - I'm a mom and that's what I do! Enjoy your boy!
DeleteLove the mud pic! Thanks for sharing, Debbie, these are great.
ReplyDeleteSo, so sweet! I loved seeing your boys grow up! You are lucky that they live so close (2 hours isn't so bad. I love just over that from my family). Thanks for sharing :)
