Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, totally worn out and screaming,
"WOO HOO, what a ride!"

  13. Definitely entering for I ALEX CROSS by James Patterson....he's one of my favorite "crime fiction" authors, right alongside Patricia Cornwell and John Sanford. I think my first Alex Cross novel was Along Came a Spider. The movie adaptation was okay, but the book was OH SO MUCH better. =0)

I love this giveaway...how clever (I may have to steal the idea for my anniversary in Jan.) HEY! Would that be a real crime? How about this gal being found after all those years with the two daughters and the monsters she was taken by? HORRIBLE!

I like all 3 books but think THE LINEUP would be a really interesting and different kind of read.

  23. Okay, I have been waiting for the perfect comment number to come up before entering and I like the number 24, so here's crossing my fingers...

You want something about mystery/crime/drama, I have to tell you I have always LOVED these types of books. I still do. When I was just out of college living on my own I used to buy them all the time and read them. I could go through about 1 every two nights. Well, one time I bought one from an author I had never read before (I don't remember who it was or what the book was titled, but I know it had a yellow cover and a black shadow of a body with a knife laying next to it on the cover). Well, that book...FREAKED ME OUT!

I never get scared reading these things; but this one just did something to me. That was just in the first two chapters. There was nothing that different about it. It must have been the way it was written. It was just too freaky. I ended up pushing through it and finishing it...but it took me a month and I had to read only a couple chapters at a time, in the morning so I could foget about it by bed time, and then I had to make sure and read or watch something right after wards.

I also quickly got rid of it when I was finished and made sure to get it out of the house. I even considered leaving it in the freezer (refrence Friend's episode when Joey and Rachel swap their favorite books).

Okay, that's my murder/mystery story and you can laugh and make fun of me for being afraid of a book; but I am comment number 24 and I hope I win.

Alos, I already follow you in a reader...I think you know that, right?

I will also probably post about it as well, but I'll leave another comment when I do that!

Crossing my fingers that I win...ALL OF THEM!!! Okay? Think my name when you are choosing a winner! Come on, anyone who leaves a comment exposing embarrasing moments just to win a few books deserves to win! :)
