Friday Fill-Ins



1. Why are you making me so crazy? I know you can't miss the hamper every time!
2. I want you to take me out to the ballgame, take me out to the crowd... Sorry, I got carried away. My son's baseball season starts next week.
3. Come to my house, then it will be on my terms.
4. Just give it a try and see what happens.
5. I could use a drink but I'll settle for chocolate.
6. Winter seems to last forever and then spring arrives sometime around June or July. (Well it sure feels like it!)
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to dinner with my hubby, tomorrow my plans include cheering on the school basketball team and Sunday, I want to be lazy, lazy, lazy!

1. I know everything according to my children when they were younger, and nothing according to my children now.
2. Every month in winter is the longest month.
3. You can't help but love puppies, warm cinnamon rolls and new shoes. Did I mention chocolate?
4. I'm ready for you giant laundry pile; bring it on!
5. Where have you looked for your missing geometry book, baseball uniform, six page report, lunch money and homemade cupcakes that you have to have for school this morning?
6. Valentine's Day candy is now available. Probably Easter candy is too.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to watching my nephew's college hockey game, tomorrow my plans include laundry and reading and Sunday, I want to watch the commercial during the Super Bowl!

1. Wouldn't it be easy to just get in the car and keep driving? Too bad that gas costs too much to get very far.
2. If I could just get more sleep I would be better than ever! Well, it would definitely help.
3. I love the taste of chocolate, any kind of chocolate. (Did you really think I was going to say anything else?)
4. Oh the memories of things that have happened in the living room! (Did you really think I was going to say anything more?)
5. The first thing we're going to do is buy a house at the beach when we win the lottery. Yeah, it made me laugh too but what a great dream!
6. All I could hear was drip, drip, drip; I was too lazy to get up and fix the faucet.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going out to dinner with friends to celebrate hubby's birthday, tomorrow my plans include staying warm and reading and Sunday, I want to do the same thing but I really need to get some work done around here!

1. The lesson I learned yesterday was do unto others. I had family that needed my help even though they weren't always easy to deal with. It worked out fine and I was glad that I was there to help.
2. The grocery store and my kids' sporting events - that's where friends and family meet in my social circles. Sad but true!
3. All these years later and I still feel like a teenager, although I certainly don't look like one anymore. My hubby still makes me feel beautiful each and every day!
4. The game was just getting started when I arrived.
5. The truth is I am happier than I've ever been in my whole life and I count my blessing every day.
6. The brilliant blue sky is what I remember most from that day.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending quiet time with hubby (falling asleep in front of the TV) while the boys are off with their busy social lives, tomorrow my plans include helping my son clean his room (ugh) and Sunday, I want to read, read, read!

1. We need more kindness. The evening news can be so depressing.
2. I saw one of my favorite Christmas commercials (even though it's too early for those!) and it made me smile.
3. If you want turkey you'll be in luck next week!
4. I eat chocolate because I can. And because it's soooo good!
5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think I probably won't ever have to worry about paying a 5% sales tax on elective surgry in Massachusetts.
6. Having family at home makes for a happy holiday.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to maybe getting a fish fry dinner with the hubby, tomorrow my plans include my teenage nephew visiting for the day and Sunday, I want to read and lounge!

1. It was a dark and stormy night, almost every night of this stinkin' rainy summer.

2. I was already going to the library so I offered to take the books myself.

3. Rushing out, I dropped my purse, stepped on the cat's tail, tripped on the rug and fell on my caboose. And I don't even have a cat.

4. Oh no Scooby Doo...I think I heard a howl!

5. Shhhh... be vawee qwuiet, I'm hunting wabbits.

2. Sunshine and being outdoors (especially in my hammock) is what I look forward to most this time of year. Too bad I haven't been able to experience nearly enough of those with all of this stinkin' rain!

3. My best friends are always there for me and I'm so very grateful.

4. I never cared much for reading to be honest with you. Ha! I can't even write that with a straight face!

5. Appearances can be interesting and sometimes scary. (You thought I was going to say deceiving didn't you?) :D

6. The last person I gave a hug to was my hubby. I love hugs and I love my hubby!

3. Everything has its beauty but summer in the countryside is amazing.

4. BBQ pork and cheddar rice is what I had for dinner. My hubby is an awesome cook!

5. I'd like your opinion on the books you've read, and then you can pass on any of the great ones that you just can't seem to get rid of!

6.In bed, asleep is where I want to be right now since it never happens before 4:00 a.m. (Although I'd settle for the beach!)

1. Having a messy house is not the end of the world, fortunately.

2. Sitting here, listening to the sound of rain falling, I usually enjoy it but lately we've had so much, I'm really sick of hearing it!

3. Chocolate (of course) tastes so good! And so does ice cream, pizza, brownies...

4. Sometimes, putting others first is hard, but it never is when it's for my kids.

5. Sunset over the hills of my house is breathtaking, really.

6. Well, maybe there is hope. My sons actually brought down their hampers without being asked!

1. Macaroni and cheese makes a quick and easy dinner. (In college I ate Spaghetti Os straight out of the can!)

2. Two Years, No Rain is the book I'm reading right now.

3. July brings back memories of our town's annual Hot Air Balloon Rally and my middle son's birthday. (19 next week!)

4. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter was obvious.

5. They say if you tell your dreams they are more likely to come true.

6. Before you speak it's often wise to think it over. It's too bad that doesn't happen more often.

1. All children alarm their parents, if only because you are forever expecting them to act just like you did!

3. Having sunshine, a good book to read in my hammock and 3 hours of peace and quiet is like eating an entire box of chocolate liqueurs at one time.

4. Too bad that all the people who know how to run the country are busy running their mouths and bickering.

5. I have yet to hear a man ask for advice on how to combine driving and asking for directions.

6. It is impossible to think of any good meal, no matter how plain or elegant, without a little salt or pepper in it.

1. I grew up thinking adults in authority were always right and parents and grandparents could not possibly ever have sex (at least not mine! Ewww.) Boy was I wrong on both counts and I will never elaborate.

2. Pudgy Penguin Perusals was the last website I was at before coming here. Check it out! Go ahead, I'll wait.

3. Why don't you put your feet up and stay awhile?

4. Chocolate, girl talk, long walks and plenty of alcohol helps me relax. Oh yeah, and my hammock. (Just kidding about the alcohol but it would!)

5. Thanks for the nothing NY state tax department!

6.People who talk on cell phones while going through the checkout line, drive-thru, while placing an order in a restaurant and anyplace else that people are trying to wait on them is very off-putting.

1. Home, sweet home.

2. My favorite thing for dinner lately has been whatever yummy meal my hubby decides to make. He's an excellent cook and it's a good thing because I'd be satisfied with cereal or pizza every night.

3. My husband got the dog of his dreams last year and all we hear now is bark! bark! bark! She's going to be packing her bags if she doesn't shape up!

4. A nice long walk is something that I really enjoy, especially when shared with a friend.

5. We really need some good news.

6. When all is said and done, that carrot cake in the frig will be gone before bedtime.
